Micro Mobio Releases 5 GHz power amplifier module - Smart Power (TM) MMPA 745

Micro Mobio Corporation today announced its 5 GHz power amplifier module - Smart Power (TM) MMPA745.

MMPA745 is a high-efficiency linear power amplifier module targeting the next generation wireless LAN applications-- 802.11a and HyperLAN 2. Its operating frequency covers all indoor/outdoor UNII bands within 5.15-5.825 GHz. In a tiny form factor, the module is designed with Micro Mobio's state-of-the-art InGaP HBT technology.

The PA module offers high linearity that is paramount to meet the tight performance requirements of 802.11a and HyperLAN 2. Integrated with 50-ohm impedance matching circuits in input and output, the module helps reducing the complexity of wireless LAN design and manufacturing. Other beneficial features include innovative power-saving mode and bias circuit for longer battery time.
